Discover Melbourne's most refined social poker experience—crafted for strategy, camaraderie, and the love of the game.
Every detail of the Velvetan Dcedar poker lounge has been considered to create a space where players can settle in, focus on the game, and enjoy genuine conversation.
Our lounge features carefully engineered acoustics that absorb excess noise, allowing for clear conversation and focused play. Sound-absorbing panels and soft furnishings reduce echo, while balanced ambient lighting keeps the room comfortable for long sessions.
Each table is custom-built with premium materials, providing a smooth playing surface and ergonomic seating for hours of comfortable play. High-quality felt, built-in chip trays, and adjustable lighting complete the experience.
The lounge blends the warmth of a craft grill with the sophistication of a private club, creating an inviting space for both seasoned players and newcomers. Warm wood tones, brass accents, and comfortable lounge seating set the mood.
Our tables are equipped with RFID technology that reads chips and displays community information on screens, ensuring accuracy and enhancing the social experience. Automatic chip recognition keeps the game moving, while live leaderboard updates add a layer of friendly competition. The system integrates seamlessly with our weekly tournaments, so every point is tracked without interrupting play.
We use professional-grade clay composite chips that provide a satisfying weight and feel, adding to the authenticity of the game. Each chip carries a custom Velvetan Dcedar design, and the consistent weight and texture make every shuffle and stack feel deliberate. Durable construction means the chips retain their finish through countless sessions.
We maintain a strict code of conduct to ensure every player feels welcome and respected. Our games are chip-only and non-monetary, focusing on skill and social interaction. No real money or gambling takes place in the lounge, and fair dealing with transparent rules is the standard at every table.
Booking your poker seat is easy. Choose your preferred date and time, select your table, and confirm your reservation online or by phone. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability, but we recommend reserving ahead for tournaments and peak evenings.
